Villefranche-sur-Mer: a coastal treasure

Villefranche-sur-Mer holds a special place in my heart.

Nestled between Nice and Monaco, this charming town offers one of the most picturesque settings in the region. The town is renowned for its vibrant, pastel-colored buildings that line the waterfront, creating a postcard-perfect scene. The deep, sheltered bay is a haven for yachts and sailboats, adding to the town’s maritime charm.

A highlight is the citadelle Saint-Elme, a 16th-century fortress that offers panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the surrounding hills. Wandering through the narrow, cobblestone streets, visitors can discover quaint boutiques, art galleries, and cozy cafés.

Can you tell us an anecdote with a foreign buyer?

A memorable journey with British buyers in Saint-Paul-de-Vence

In January 2023, I worked with a lovely British couple seeking their dream villa in Saint-Paul-de-Vence. They fell in love with a stunning property, and we began an eventful journey.

Our first offer was accepted in May, but just weeks later, the seller had second thoughts and withdrew. Undeterred, my clients made a higher offer in August, which was accepted. However, the seller, deeply attached to her home, was reluctant to part with it.

By March 2024, during the final signing, the seller was still moving out, and I stepped in to smooth things over: found myself in the role of mediator, ensuring everything was in order.

Despite the challenges, the experience brought us closer. As a token of their appreciation, the wife, a talented jewelry designer, gifted me a beautiful gold bracelet believed to bring good luck. We now meet regularly at the villa, which they’ve lovingly renovated and transformed into an even more beautiful home. In a delightful twist, she even bought the same car as mine !
